It is, and will be enormously problematic. Lithium seems to have evaded the conflict minerals scrutiny faced by the other metals. When Lithium does fall into line the effect will be swift and severe. You can't champion renewable energy and the environment whilst at the same time violating human rights and contributing to armed conflict in subaltern communities.
