So what kind of ex-vivo commercial applications? T Cells and Stem Cells are just a few possible applications.
* "Ex-Vivo" = work conducted in a test tube.
* This is where companies edit the cell before injecting it back into the patients body. Similar to the ongoing work on tumour infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), where scientists extract patients immune cells from tumour biopsies and then grow them in the lab in the billions and then re-inject them back into the patients body. Or CAR-T therapy.
* Phylogica's peptide vaccine does the same thing but within the body.
* Phylogica is currently conducting work on their second generation CPPs that can deliver 10x as much cargo into the target cell substantially more efficiently as the ‘first generation’ CPPs in the Cas9 program.
