Ok i may be jumping the gun here, but it's 50/50 now, i know that I risk losing my invested capital on a duster but let's say the announcement is positive.
If anyone has participated or witnessed a successful discovery by a company (other than apparently shoot straight up), what tends to happen to the share price.
e.g (Assumption for example only - DYOR and do not take this as gospel) "Amazon Prospect is estimated of holding 30 mmbbls of oil/condensate plus 300 Bcf of gas at the P50 level if hydrocarbons are present. Estimates that discovery at this level would be worth 10.6 cps fully diluted equity to QPN for it's 15% interest".
Obviously this example would be a fantastic result if that amount of resource is announced but how quickly will it rise to fair value discovery is estimated at?
Are shares overbought with excitement and then correct? And will the share price stagnate after initial excitement until there is oil poured into barrels and income arrives?
This is my first speckie stock and its very exciting but with a so called company making find, I would appreciate opinions on wether this could be a top up and place in the bottom drawer and comeback and reassess position later down the track or do people just do the dash for cash?
Hold: QPN
Example only: No misleading information intended. Please DYOR, I'm a Rookie!!
