i guess one component could be that they did clearly state they were no longer targetting small collaboration type deals like previous ones. In the past i think the only reason we got the deals we did was because they were ridiculously cheap for what they were. Maybe we could have 2 or 3 right now if that was what we wanted but maybe that is why Rohan is busy, trying to lock in a significant deal rather than another free access to our tech type collaboration where we tie up our now quite expensive labs and scans for months or years on someone elses target for 500k or 1 mil.
Andrew, you've nailed it here. This is precisely "what is going on".
PYC has breadth of research but lacks depth. Rohan's task is to take the CPP platform technology from the discovery and pre-clinical into early clinical stage.
Potential benefits are two-fold - 10 x deal amounts + validation of the therapeutic potential of the technology. It is that validation which will lead to further deals.
