I can send you the argument back: Do you want to travel for a $10 dvd/cd?
And frankly when I see how much cd/dvd and electronic goods I buy and discard I can decently not call them "durable goods". Even TVs, consoles and computers are obsolete with the next video game.
Anyway the idea of having lots of stores is to get people *in* the stores and make them buy because they *see* the goods.
With internet competition any brick-and-mortars that *waits* for customers are doomed to fail.
