    Hi brshae
The environmental ucg stench you mention is the 'go to' slogan of the uniformed. I suggest you take the time to read what exactly happened and Linc and Carbon Energy. The only stench about appears to be coming from interested Queensland government agencies and Departments. They will all have their day in court soon and we will see whence the foul odor emanates.
The South Australian departments have been camped at LCK from day one and have observed and been part of every phase of the ISG process. If there was a hint of an environmental issue don't you think this would have been shut down? If you read the history you will see that UCG was first trialed in South Australia and they have an extensive data base relating to UCG. Also, the process used at LCK was in fact developed by the CSIRO, used by Carbon Energy and then brought across and deployed, with improvements, by Justin Haynes - the current technical head at LCK.
