the tipping point

Over the past two days I have seen several articles from banks and real estate groups saying that this year property values will "languish". If these guys are saying it, we have not just reached the tipping point, we are already past it.
I was starting to wonder if people would realise how impossible it is for property to continue to rise in value at the rate it has. There just seemed to be a never ending supply of people willing to borrow to their capacity and beyond so they didn't "miss out" on this sure thing. I look forward to a long period of depreciation before I pick up a bargain. Should be an interesting year
