HD, The Conversation is not tax payer funded. According to its latest accounts it receives revenue of about $1.5m consisting of donations from the public and three large grants totalling $375k. One of the grant’s for $125,000 came from the AMP Foundation. The Conversation has charitable taxation status and therefore pays no income tax.
