    You have unravelled the market's distaste for HDR! The "World Petroleum Probability Map" Fig 22.8 in your reference http://www.geology.ohio-state.edu/~vonfrese/gs100/lect22/ clearly shows that petroleum discveries are Impossible or Unfavourable in Mauritania. It also clearly shows that the North Sea , Bass Strait and North West Shelf discoveries shouldn't have happened - so maybe their map is just a bit sus too! However its a great little diagram of what we hope Faucon will be.
