re: the triumph of the east - masta "If the Sunday people can't see what's around the corner.........(better not say what I am thinking)!!!"
I assume the 'Sunday people' are Christians. I trust this is a term of endearment
******************************************************
Masta,
I don't use that term in a denigrating way, at least that is not my intention.
I could have said...non Jews.....gentiles.....goyim...etc etc.
However, we often refer to ourselves as the Saturday people.....the world knows that the Muslims revere Friday as their religious day.....and that traditionally Christians have Sunday as their officially recognized day of observance.
I guess Sunday has been adopted by non Christians as well as a "day off"........so when I refer to the "Sunday people" I mean everyone who is not Jewish....and not Muslim.......
No insult intended.
I am more than happy to be referred to as "Saturday person/people"........
Because that is what I am.
