I hold the view that Blair along with Bush and Howard hold the high moral ground on this issue but Blair in particular has shown tremendous courage in the face of opposition from the rusted on; pacifists, anti-US and pro UN factions in his own party.

Howard's premise that 9/11 has of necessity changed the rules, is a sound one and until this strange coalition of the Left and extreme right comes up with a better way of handling "across national borders terrorism", this grouping of socialists, fascists and everything in between have dealt themselves out of the game.

Incidently the Neo-Conservatives are not on the extreme right (that's where Pat Buchanan sits)
but could be described paradoxically as radical-conservatives. ie some radical foreign policy doctrines tacked on to an otherwise generally conservative position.
