For the UK govt to vote against an invasion would be politically suicidal; we had the debate, its all ancient history now.
To back down at the last moment would be a humiliation to be lived out for generations. (which is probably what Saddam believes too). Once deployment happened the die was cast.
Anybody protesting now are indulging themselves, we should be supportive of those troops now at risk and show that support.
