The banks are part of a complex system using currency to create finance based on government support.

A long time ago the Commonwealth bank was public reflecting the nature of the complex system.

The banks can pass on these levy charges to everybody but they would be incredibly dumb to do so. In fact arguably the reason government is charging the banks is because of the decision makers in the banks own incompetence charging everybody willy nilly using their finance products.

Obviously as the banks face more competition they are going to have to bring in smarter people. The smarter people will soon realise they need to conduct their business, as part of a complex system, in the best way to reduce the tax burden on Australian taxpayers otherwise rightfully they will cop a bigger levy increase to reflect the risks, costs and debts the banking system are putting on taxpayers that has to be born by the government which the banks like to rely on to backstop them.

The banks should know which customers to target to reduce the taxpayers burden as well as which labour suppliers and which investors which are not productive thereby decreasing the taxpayer burden and the incentive for government to raise bank levies further on the huge bank profit centres based on government licensing arrangements!!

So if Ive got over 250k in a savings account the bank will be charged .06% on this money by the Govt?
