He goes on to say that he lacks empathy but that he was fine working with him probably because he (Penn) gets on with those who aren’t normal. Penn says he has a tolerance for those who are very very different, which some of his friends are, but he doesn’t expect those people to be in a position of leadership.

“He is the only person I have met in my life who has no reaction to music, didn’t tap his foot, nothing. Never told a joke or laughed at a joke, by joke I do not mean “boy your fat and ugly”, he could do that, and he could laugh at somebody being put down. I’ve never seen or heard of him telling a joke or appreciating a joke.
