"The Trusted Digital Identity" bill - goodbye privacy and freedom!, page-6

I think the foundation of the message is spot on. We have been progressively intimidated since the mid 1990's with govt intrusion into our private and working lives. Business too has been overloaded with mandated public service style reporting and hamstrings.

This is one of my pet hates; the govts playing in our space, trying to subjugate us into submission and they are winning. Instead of celebrating the once Ozzie larrikan culture, they are intent on turning us into obedient drones while singing the tunes of freedom.

Even our freedom to talk relatively freely is now subject to punitive measures and even court action. We can't express our innate biases without an army of inculcated self indulgent imbeciles, protected by anti discrimination laws, piling on.

Society has become one of correct speak and ambivalence to stripping away self expression.

Bring back the mongrel, the unpredictable and enterprising minds will flourish into can do.
    IMO
