the truth about 'accumulation'

A conversation starter...

These's been a lot of talk/speculation about accumulation lately, in some cases inferring that an entity or entities are taking a position.
It would seem that this is not the case and any accumulation is among smaller investor.

For the benefit of this observation, I am calling a 'smaller investors', any entity with less than 1m share, and a 'position' around 10m+.
Everyone will have their own views.

On Movements
Much of the traffic has actually been new smaller investor, with more than 670 entities being added to the register in the last 3-4 weeks. These new additions account for 59m shares at an average of around 90k per entity.
533 (79%) have 100k shares or less, and only 10 make in into the top 200 with 700k or more.

About 200 existing holders added share, so you could argue this is your accumulators, but again, only a small number (15) are in the top 200. More than half hold 100k or less.

Currently only 4 entities hold more than 10m shares, and all have been there for years. Even when the obvious multiple holding (family member incl.) are aggregated, it's still single digit long-term holders.

What does all this mean?
IMHO the serious NEW investors have yet to really start buying.
