You are advocating worse than this with your desire to stop vaccination? You can't have it both ways. Even with a vaccine that is losing effectiveness, more individuals will still have immunity so there is a degree of protection.
Maybe we need to increase the frequency of vaccination to maintain higher immunity levels before a better vaccine is developed. Pregnant women are of course advised to get a booster so that the baby has some immunity when most at risk from harmful outcomes.
