Was there ever settlement deadlines with this agreement. Love to see the contract. The director who negotiated this deal did a poor job and may have left out clauses in favour of CCC like a sunset clause meaning did not give deadlines for conditions to be met. What is the detail around the settlement date? What consequences kick in if settlement does not take place on the due date, like late payment penalties. This indicates a poorly contracted agreement and further identifies their incompetance. Landau is the lawyer, was he at lunch? If the legals could not keep the deal together the asset goes back to market for sale less the deposit if any. I am sure if the asset has value another buyer could have been found before today which is D day. This lack of competancy is extraordinary at this level.
