I agree with most of what you're saying but NO drill results are not used (only) to promote the company. Being a mining engineer you see the things from your end (you start working when exploration work is completed) therefore you might miss some of the things that scientists do in mineral exploration.
Anyways I suggest that each investor learns how to use such tools and decide for themselves if the company or that specific project deserves your hard earned money.
