The following site is of interest, it shows the intra day price and volume across today.

As you can see, the volumes were less than 50K in volume across the majority of the day, even when at 2pm the sp started to take off it only picked up slightly.

Only at the end of the day did the volume go ballistic (600K) when someone put through a large sell order IMHO, which caused the sp to drop slightly.

I suspect sentiment turned at 1.30pm rather than a large buy order forcing the price up or price sensitive news released (the weekly drilling report had nothing IMHO of market churning news). Turning sentiment is good news for us given where the sp has been.

Either than, or someone is spreading rumours!!

The bad news is that with no ASX release, the sp could just as easily drop. Fingers crossed that some good news comes out from Management tomorrow or Friday (annual financial report not due until next week, so that is of no help, at the moment).
