You need a reality check Hairyback. You have been pushing the anti Turnbull mantra for 6months along with abbott and his neo conservative small band of supporters. You should pat yourselves on the back as as it seems you have persuaded many of the swing voters that Turnbull is just carrying on with the loathed Abbott mantra and given the sniping and undermining the swing voters are thinking the conservative knuckleheads just might be thinking of a counter coup to re-instate Abbott.
Given the removal of Abbott was the key reason the polls turned from an Abbott likely disaster to a Turnbull likely victory its no wonder that a prospect of a successful putsch for Abbott to be re-instated is resulting in the swing voters moving back to Labor and the Greens.
Swing voters don’t want Abbott nor do they want Abbott’s policies, so if one or other is whats on offer the polls could well go back to Labor holding a winning lead. Enough swing voters have already changed back to Labor giving them a competitive chance.
You should feel really good Hairy given that you have done your best to achieve the fall of the Turnbull govt and it might just happen. The Labor Party will be very appreciative of both your efforts and that of Abbott’s.
