Eagle888, if voters get the impression that a vote for Malcolm Turnbull may subsequently lead to the return of Tony Abbott as PM; they will desert Turnbull in droves.
Australians were thoroughly sick and tired of Abbott by early 2015, as reflected in those countless opinion polls.
But after he had to be sacked by his own MPs, far from endearing himself to the Australian people; Abbott has been screaming at us that he's been victimised and treated unfairly. He just will not remove his face from our television sets, rubbing salt into the deep wound he created when he betrayed the trust Australians placed in him at the 2013 Election.
IMO Abbott is on track to be taught a very harsh lesson by the Australian public and the real question is whether or not that wrecks the Liberal Party for the next decade.
