And just one more trivia for the day:
Per the second link, the total amount of gold the world has produced is estimated at 165K tonnes and valued optimistically at USD1,600 giving approx. USD8.5T. Even if, out of compassion, all that gold were donated to the US Government, it is only enough to pay of less than half of the US national debt of USD19T. Furthermore, Obama has the dubious credit for doubling the US national debt during his two terms. Eight years ago, all that gold would have paid off the US national debt.

A purported Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times". Quite ironic, when we think that China is the US major creditor.
