Yes, I had a similar situation. Living in the UK at the time, did a money tranfer from Lloyds to CBA and the money never showed up.
Spent many nights up like you till 3am trying to speak to the relevant people to find out where my money had gone. I even photocopied the transaction receipt numbers, everything, and still no joy.
The money did not show for over a month, and it was no small amount either.
In the end I took the matter up with the Australian Banking Ombudsman and the matter was resolved within a couple of days.
I would suggest you contact the Ombudsman.
