Flu consists of 4 strains wich allow for many for variations. Covid on the other hand only has a single strain of DNA. Vaccine effectiveness is on average 87% for alpha strain compared to 80% in delta. we may not know long term effect of vaccines there are very unlikely to be any harmful effects. Millions of doctors and nurses took up the vaccine the day is was available.in contrast we do know that covid causes lifelong effects.
