    Singapore's attitude makes sense. Unvaccinated pay the hospital bills if it's covid-related.

    There are consequences for personal decisions about freedom.

    If the government provides a vaccine, you refuse to take it but then get hospitalised with covid, it's a preventable disease. You are taking the bed of another taxpayer who may have had a heart attack or was in a car crash, and you are sucking up tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer health funding.

    That needs to be paid back, so your fellow taxpayers aren't paying for your decision and "freedom". (And you should pray that you haven't infected others, or caused the death of another by selfishly taking their hospital bed.)

    Anti-vaxxers hospitalised with covid need to take responsibility for their choice. Either stay out of the hospital system or pay back to the government the costs of your preventable hospitalisation. And a written letter of apology to every health professional who has to treat you wouldn't go astray too.
