Clearly, with the " noise" of fear in the market, the bear has an advantage and any comp with slight uncertainty around its story, shorters will celebrate and use it to drive SP down. just another financial tool to make a buck.

the narrative can change on a dime.

the participant's options are plentiful

! one can short and be part of that feast. then buy the low for the dead cat bounce sell at a profit and short again. and on and on it goes.

! As price gets ridiculously low and sentiment or narrative changes one goes long and hold.

! one buys for long-term investment while following the market, watches the Price action becomes negative, and decides to join the party of shorting till sentiment changes and goes long again

! one buys for LTH and just watches a match played between to forces while sipping on a coconut.

Dusk it is just a game. good companies with good management, solid earnings growth, good Div and excellent balance sheet will outperform the market in the long run.
