Here is a bit of info It appears to me the short sellers don't know what to do re their short position. In the case of BOE the short sellers reporting only covers the 29th & 30th so not enough days data to form much of a opinion but we can look at the way they are behaving on PDN as a indicator. I haven't run the number on PDN to see were brake even is but I assume its a lot higher then current share price at $6. So on the day of the 3/4qrt result for PDN the share price was $3.98 its now around $6. On the day before BOE announcement the share price closed at $2.80 its now $3.60. As you can see with PDN it appears the short sellers are not sure what to do next. I think is reasonable to assume as regards BOE they won't go down with out a fight. Arrows are the days of the announcements.
