l consider your strategy to be that more typical of a trader than an investor. One size does not fit all.
Having held many 10x, 20x and 50x stocks that each fell by over 50% along the way, l am happy to stand by statement. I will admit l progressively sell along the way up, to release profits which also caps gains. That reflects my conservative bent and my acknowledgement that l cannot see the future.
Rarely do l consider myself or others smart enough to buy, sell and then buy again to achieve an equivalent result. That is more a matter of luck rather than method, but l guess there are some traders who do get lucky. Most aren't.
And BTW, l buy after a 25%+ fall, which usually adds 2x to 5x to the net result.
