Sounds like you are more of a trader than I.
If I had to suffer a 50% retracement without making money on it I would consider myself a failure.
I mostly trade only one company to accumulate during the relevant phase(s) of their cycle, usually 2-3 years.
Timing of the cycles is everything. Everything else is purely gambling.
