Most importantly, PYC’s announced collaboration with Cubist less than 4 months ago to evaluate antimicrobial peptides from its library against gram negative bacteria highlights to any interested parties what PYC might offer in this field.
Twelve months ago there was little evidence of potentially interested parties (pharma or government) in developing antimicrobials. I think that there is a now a greater sense of urgency.
