Neither Biden nor Trump have been generous. Trump posturing, saying that Zalinski owes him a rear earth mine is rubbish. The US is learning lessons worth more than simple $s, they are learning about the next war with only Uk, blood being spilt.
The US is, or should be, sitting in the Ukraine war room, learning about how the next war will be fought. That is priceless knowledge. The military brass knew years ago that drones were the next offensive weapon, so they built some, at millions of $s each. Classic Pentagon thinking.
What The West is doing for Ukraine is the ultimate "Penny short and a day late". Tanks and F-16s are useful [US has not given any aircraft] but would have been more useful years earlier. Same with long range missiles, Ukraine is lobbing missiles on Moscow and Poots has not followed through with threats of going nuclear. Would have been nice to give Uk. the weapons and approval to attack Ru where it hurts years earlier. They have developed their own long range cruise missiles, so get stuffed Trump.
But tanks, F-16s and missiles are side shows now, cheap drones [relative to targets] are the technology on which survival depends. The US is being shown that NOTHING is safe today, the F-35 is invisible in the air, but it is a sitting duck on the ground, remember Operation Spiderweb. Military bases here are all built on major roads, I assume it would be similar in the US.
The US is getting a free seat at WW2.5, learning what is now obsolescent, FREE!
