At the end of the day it's easy to look back and say should have could have would have etc. My point was if the timing is right all forms of investments are lucrative, get the timing wrong though and whether it's, gold, stocks or real estate you can still lose big money on paper and may have to realise this depending on your personal situation that can be equally unpredictable.
