    much of what you said I agree with.
    but, Mate, how can you see an evolutionary decline in the USD when you see the US debt/GDP ratio around 100% and rising, without any sign of reversing this trend for the last 6 years.
    dont worry too much about the risk of China imploding. China is the US's major creditor, with foreign reserves which will allow it to buy its way out of any foreseeable financial difficulties.
    China's next ann on its gold reserves will likely be an eye-opener for the Western World and will establish the Yuan as a true competitor to the USD.
    But the real ticking bomb for the USD is the global banking instability. Watch closely what happens regarding the legislative efforts to rein in reckless bank derivatives gambling. Chances are that the enormous power of bank lobbies in Washington, London and in Europe will water down any legislation which gets up, and it will be risky banking practices as usual. Another crash like 2008 can't be supported by government funny-money again, without completely trashing the USD.
