It is what Greenspan did in the real world that really bothers me. If someone should be put in the dock and held accountable for the GFC, he is probably the man. On his watch:
- The Fed held US rates too low too long fuelling the property market; and
- The Fed (OCC) failed to push through the implementation of Basel II in the US which left the US banks badly undercapitalised in 2008.

I am a bit surprised to see him still wheeled out as an authority.
