When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour the USA went to war against Japan and used all means possible to achieve Japanese surrender.
On the 9 March 1945 the US conducted the most deadly air raid in history. Over 100,000 civilians were killed by firebombing Tokyo that night. Those civilians were not given a "corridor to safety".
Israel was attacked by Hamas, the elected government of Gaza. Israel now seeks the surrender of Hamas. It is about to attack the Hamas HQ in Rafah.
The US has created a new concept calling for a safe corridor out for civilians first.
The civilians of Dresden might also have liked a "safe corridor".
In future US bombing raids will all civilians be given a "safe corridor" out?
