It is certainly worthy of discussion Lapdog. With Germany now jailing journalists and bloggers for up to 3 years for writing against the official line. The US is doing the same with Julian Assange. Maybe this is the end for the EU as a prospect to become world superpower. My opinion is that the European countries have been betrayed their leaders. I don't think anything is going to be the same. The US has stolen so many national reserves that countries will be looking for an alternative, and it looks like the BRICS will supply the alternative. I must be missing something, because as far as I understand it, loss of the reserve currency, will crash the US smoke and mirrors economy to a point lower than 1929, and no one seems worried about it.
