@Dynamo77 I think thats the first reaction when you read that. But turn this another way. If you are Uniteller, MoneyGram or another medium or big remittance company, this is a warning to you as well...they are fighting to save a lot more revenue than us, so they have to do something in response.
Now DCC advantage is use of blockchain as away of enabling banking features to be added on (as well cost effectiveness of regulatory benefits of full public auditing capabilities, blockchain enabled credit profiles etc).
So the time is ripe for DCC to start approaching these companies and saying, "you will be dead in 5-10 years as remittance moves onto Facebook etc". "You need to value add further capabilities (ie banking) to your customer base before they leave you. We have the technology and know how to add this capability as well as streamline your reporting and back end systems to save costs, lets work together to do this"
In return DCC should seek funding to manage blockchain development as well as % of ongoing business generated.
Its a massive opportunity if they have the guts and know how to take it. Thats what I am looking for, but talk is cheap, i need to see results now. .
