It seems some are not up with the play re DD.

Alex Cowie has been moved on and Dan Denning, Port Phillips Publishing owner, has taken over in the editing role.

Dan appears to have a very much glass-half-empty view of the world and is anticipating a god-almighty crash in equities at any moment, including commodities and the gold price.

His repeated narrative in Scoops Lane/ DD would suggest that he thinks gold could go sub $1,000... who knows.

With Alex's departure Dan has cleared the decks of Alex's loss making recommendations.

Whilst DD has been woeful of late, the mining sector in general and micro caps especially, has been terrible since August 2011.

Alex was between a rock and a hard place. Pigeonholed into the resource sector and forced to make monthly recommendations whilst the market crashed around small cap resource stocks... a very difficult mandate.

Specifically PGI hasn't helped its own cause for various reasons that have been discussed to death here.

Regardless, we're all responsible for our investment decisions and blaming others (either for a buy or sell recommendation) is pointless.

PGI may be a bargain down here. It may not. Only time will tell whether Alex or Dan is right.
