There's a lot of swings and misses from the Trump campaign, GOP and Trump activists today. Maybe the Biden campaign pulled a swifty - prepared them to attack the wrong person, Susan Rice, then switched to Harris unexpectedly?
Harris was a favourite to win but Trumpists don't seem to have an agreed plan to take her down. Some are saying she's too liberal while others say she's too tough on criminals. Other attacks include phony, shallow, nasty, mean, not really African American, slept her way into a job, a Soros person, and the dogwhistling on race and gender is pretty easy to hear. Like bored chimps at a zoo throwing poo at a wall, it's hard to see a pattern. Way too random.
Susan Rice would have brought a lot of baggage. Trumpists seemed to be anticipating that. Wrong footed.
