Hopefully once the news gets out that retail investors now have a sizeable portion of the shares outstanding they will no longer think their cause is hopeless and make more determined efforts to effect positive changes starting with the board. IMO
In the US the LYSDF shares carry voting rights since I have a few hundred shares, and Lynas emailed me yesterday about the Nov AGM and Agenda. I definitely will be voting
Unfortunately the vast majority of my shares are LYSCF which does not have that and other rights apparently. (and I pay an extra $15 in "Foreign Security Fee" each time I buy or sell LYSCF. My broker apparently is charged this amount by Merrill Global Custody Services and it is passed on to me)
