    some of us rely on the income from the large companies for retirement. There isn’t a lot of mega large cap stocks available on the ASX to invest in for that.

    I don’t agree with BHP getting involved in the voice, nor do I believe it passed director fiduciary duties. However you’ll find a lot of these companies are scared s$&@less of socialist labor government who’s been incredibly hostile to business, in particular oil, gas and coal, so likely attempting to appease them incase this gets through. I’m sure privately you’ll find their view is often not pro the voice. I know of this through several executives, albeit they are not associated with BHP.

    Just remember, people voted for these idiots into power, as well as the fringe parties such as Teals and Greens to get all this rubbish through. Liberals were not perfect by any means, but gosh, look at the mess we have now.
