This country literally would not function without our miners. The reason why our quality of life is so high is because we have them. Their outputs are an essentially input into everything we cherish, from healthcare to a night out. We'd still be living in caves hitting each other with sticks without them

And yet people have the nerve to scream "evil mining companies." Goes to show how dumb and backwards the vast majority of Australians are. IMHO mining companies should be exempt from paying tax, we should be encouraging and supporting this critical industry not attacking it because of some warped political agenda
