What I cant understand, is the voice is unelected representatives, which means they will only speak for people who agree with them. If the voice gets through, it has to be elected representatives so all indigenous people have a voice, not just the people put into the voice from the ALP. I assume there will be no conservative representatives on the voice? Surely they have to have an election from the people to establish representatives of all aboriginal people? Not just those aligned to the ALP. Happy to be proven wrong on how the representatives will be chosen.
