I've seen a fair bit of misinformation being thrown around here regarding the Voice to Parliament. I thought it might help to direct people to some useful information about what the Voice to Parliament is, it's powers and it's limitations.

Linked above are the design principles of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice agreed to by the First Nations Referendum Working group. It contains information about what exactly it is, how its members would be elected, whom it would represent, and also what it's function and limitations would be.

Here too is some more useful information about frequent concerns people have, myself included, about the Voice.
Personally, after delving into it, I think it's a pretty modest and overall positive change to our constitution to help our fellow Aussies who have been the target of State violence for decades, been historically excluded from political participation, and are amongst our Nation's poorest and most underrepresented.
