Personally I have never heard of either of the Dr or the Institute and wonder what is meant by "leading commentator".
I rate Charles Krauthammer as a leading US commentator by the way. But you will probably scoff at that.
The point about Obama working closely with the previous Labor govts is irrelevant. But the coming enquiries into pink batts, AWU matters may will reinforce Abbott's opinion in the eyes of "leading commentators".
As for John Menadue - he pops up from time to time to voice his opinions - how many people in Australia know exactly what he did in the past?
