After the latest announcement by xstate via boardroom radio it appears sidi dhaher is a find and there is going to be more waiting time before testing is completed to confirm a commercial or non commercial find.
I decided to review a few announcements by adx and compare to other oil companies.
Certainly to be waiting 3 weeks for something, anything, after what could be the company changing find is unusual. More unusual is to have the junior partner make two announcements to the operators none. This should be a point hammered home at the companies AGM.
Obviously partners in the well have their own agenda. Gulfsands Petroleum a 40% partner and potential operator needs good news so if their is another break in the spokesman ranks they could be next.
With the result of the tunisia election due today and with the xstatae announcement stating that no workover rig had been contracted then shareholders are in for a further long wait until sidi results are released.
On the upside it does sound that sidi is a find. The past drill contractor who would be 1st in line to supply the workover rig is based in Libya and after Gadaffi`s accident it should be easier to move rigs but on the downside their could be much more demand for them to restart wells in libya.
ADX has to get government approval from the newly elected Tunisia goverment on who can supply the workover rig. Hopefully this new goverment can organise itself without confict and appoint the ministry to supply the approval.
With no trades in ADX today it also looks like the buyers and sellers are playing the waiting game also.
Does time equal money? Apparantly not for ADX
