It ran along the bottom pattern line through the worst of it and now we have a breach of the pattern. Notice a breach and not a break. One thing that can happen with patterns like this are "False Breaks" That's where the price breaks out but as the name implies it's a false break and price retraces southward. That's the reason for swing trading rule #28 stand behind the herd on breakouts. On receiving the signals and confirmation that this wasn't a false break I'll be taking a position.
