Centuries of subjugation....really? How many wars were women sent to fight and die in over those centuries?

It's easy to highlight the traditional role of bread winner that men had - which wasn't always so glamorous bye the way - hunter to coal minor to factory working slave during the industrial revolution........but to ignore the other role men in all societies played which was soldier and which very few men shirked of complained about.......it was always considered their duty to make the ultimate sacrifice for their tribe or country.
