You don’t know for certain if options will be in the money come December
Free money or missed opportunities don’t come around often

Did you think it would be at 48c or so at this point in time? Very few did

Usually when options are 20% in the money they are converted and sold

Just because some don’t look long term doesn’t make them negative etc
